About these terms
These terms cover your use of this website and summarise how we work. Glasgow Bathroom Fitter is the trading name of James McCallum, a sole trader. Address: 723 Ritchie Park, Johnstone PA5 8LE, United Kingdom. Email: contact@glasgowbathroomfitter.co.uk. Phone: 0141 280 9490. We are not VAT registered.
By using this website you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the website.
Using this website
- The information on this website is general guidance about bathrooms, regulations and grants. It is not professional, legal or financial advice, and it may not suit your home. We confirm what applies to you at your free survey.
- Images labelled "Design concept" are illustrations of styles we fit. They are not photographs of finished jobs.
- We try to keep the website accurate and available, but we do not promise that it will always be complete, up to date or free of errors.
- Links to other websites are provided for your information. We are not responsible for their content.
- The text, design and logo on this website belong to us. You may view and print pages for your own use, but you must not copy them for commercial use without our permission.
- You must not misuse the website, for example by sending spam through the quote form or trying to break its security.
Quotes and surveys
- Surveys are free and there is no obligation to go ahead.
- After the survey we send you a written, fixed-price quote. It sets out the work, the price and any specific terms, and it forms the basis of our contract with you once you accept it.
- If anything on this page differs from your written quote, the written quote applies.
Payment
- We ask for a deposit to secure your installation date. The amount is shown on your quote.
- The balance is due when your bathroom is complete.
- The price only changes if you change the plan, or if we find a hidden problem once the old bathroom is removed. If we find one, we stop, show you, give you a fixed price to put it right and only carry on once you agree.
- We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added to our prices.
Guarantee
- Our workmanship is guaranteed for 2 years from the day the job is finished.
- Products we fit, such as suites, showers and taps, are covered by their manufacturers' warranties.
- Electrical work is carried out and certified by a registered electrician we work with.
- The guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents or work done by others after we finish.
Your right to cancel
If you accept our quote at your home or away from our premises, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 usually give you 14 days to cancel without giving a reason. The 14 days start on the day you accept the quote.
To cancel, tell us clearly by email to contact@glasgowbathroomfitter.co.uk or by phone on 0141 280 9490. We will refund any deposit within 14 days.
If you ask us to start work within the 14 days and then cancel, you will need to pay a fair amount for the work done and any materials ordered for you up to that point.
Your legal rights
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, for example for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Law and complaints
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. If you have a complaint, please contact us first at contact@glasgowbathroomfitter.co.uk and we will do our best to put things right. If we cannot resolve it, you can bring proceedings in the Scottish courts, or in the courts of the part of the UK where you live.
