FAQs

Questions about our bathroom services

Something else? Call 0141 280 9490.

Which bathroom service do I need?

It depends on how much of the room you want to change. If you are replacing everything, you need a full bathroom renovation. If you only want to change the bath or shower, a bath-to-shower conversion or a walk-in shower may be enough. For safer bathing, look at accessible bathrooms or wet rooms. We recommend the right option at your free survey, after seeing the room and hearing how you use it.

What's the difference between a wet room and a walk-in shower?

A wet room is fully waterproofed with a level floor that drains through a floor gully, while a walk-in shower uses a low-profile tray and a fixed glass panel. Wet rooms give fully step-free access, but they need tanking and a floor formed with a fall to the drain, so they take longer to fit. Walk-in showers suit most bathrooms and need fewer changes to the floor.

Can you combine several services in one project?

Yes, you can combine services in one project. For example, a full renovation can include a walk-in shower and new tiling, or a bath-to-shower conversion can include grab rails and a slip-resistant floor. You get one fixed-price written quote and one project manager for the whole job. Our own team does the fitting and a registered electrician we work with handles the electrics, so there is no need to book separate trades.

Do you take on smaller jobs?

Yes, we take on smaller jobs as well as complete bathrooms. Our tiling-only service covers walls, floors and shower areas, and our fit-only service installs a suite you have already bought. Smaller jobs follow the same steps as a full bathroom: a free survey, a fixed-price written quote, our own team on site and our 2-year workmanship guarantee once the work is complete.

Can you fit a bathroom suite I've bought online?

Yes, our fit-only service installs suites and tiles you have bought yourself, whether from a supplier, a showroom or an online retailer. We check the products and measurements at the free survey, so missing parts or sizing problems are spotted before work starts. You still get a fixed-price written quote for the installation, and our 2-year workmanship guarantee covers the work we carry out.

Is every service covered by your guarantee?

Yes, every service we offer carries our 2-year workmanship guarantee, from a full renovation to a tiling-only job. The guarantee covers the installation work our own team carries out. The products themselves, such as baths, shower trays, valves and taps, are covered by their manufacturers' warranties. If you supply your own products for a fit-only job, the product warranty stays with the retailer or manufacturer.

How long does each service take?

Most full bathrooms take 5 to 10 working days. Smaller jobs, such as tiling or a bath-to-shower conversion, are usually quicker. Wet rooms and projects that change the layout take longer, because tanking needs time to cure and new pipework or drainage has to be fitted. We talk through the expected timescale for your project at the free survey, before you book a start date.

Do your services cover my area?

Yes, if your home is within around 25 miles of our base in Johnstone. Every service is available across Renfrewshire, Glasgow, East Renfrewshire, East and West Dunbartonshire and parts of South Lanarkshire, including Paisley, Renfrew, Erskine, Newton Mearns, Giffnock, Bearsden, Milngavie and East Kilbride. If you are not sure, call 0141 280 9490 or include your postcode when you request a quote.
